The SUMO Toyota 7.5" differential bushing is an engineered replacement for the factory needle bearing used to support the driver-side CV axle in Toyota front clamshell differentials.

This upgrade addresses axle vibration, shaft instability, and premature bearing wear by replacing the small-contact needle bearing with a full-length, low-friction bushing designed for real-world use.

Unlike the OE design, the SUMO bushing provides continuous shaft support, improved load distribution, and long-term durability—especially in vehicles running larger tires, suspension lifts, or subjected to hard use.

• Not compatible with Harrop E-locker differentials

Technical Installation Guidance

The SUMO bushing is longer than the factory needle bearing. Some Toyota differential carriers contain an internal bore step that prevents the bushing from seating fully flush.

This is normal and accounted for in the design.

Correct Installed Position

• Acceptable installed height: 0.030"–0.065" proud of the carrier bore

• Full flush installation is not required

• Do not attempt to force the bushing past an internal stop

Install using firm, even blows. Once resistance increases, verify installed height and stop. Forcing the bushing further can damage the part and interfere with CV axle installation.
