The GX470 (2003–2009) was powered by Toyota’s proven 4.7L V8 and featured advanced suspension systems, full-time four-wheel drive, and exceptional durability both on and off the road.
The GX460, launched in 2010, refined that formula with a 4.6L V8, upgraded drivetrain technology, and enhanced comfort and safety systems.
Throughout its production, the GX has offered true dual-purpose performance — quiet, smooth, and composed on the highway, yet ready for remote trails and heavy loads when called upon.

The next-generation GX550, unveiled in 2024, carries forward that legacy. Built on Toyota’s GA-F platform, shared with the Land Cruiser 250 and Tundra, it delivers improved rigidity, suspension articulation, and ground clearance — setting a new standard for capability in the luxury off-road segment.
